Hi, I’m Lara.
Dr. Lara Phillips is an emergency medicine physician and Clinical Professor in Philadelphia. She completed her undergraduate education at MIT, followed by medical school and residency training at Vanderbilt University. She then pursued fellowship training in Wilderness Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Phillips is passionate about teaching in both traditional and non-traditional settings and believes that some of the most memorable learning happens beyond the classroom. She enjoys building community among those already involved in wilderness medicine while introducing newcomers to the field and sharing the adventure, challenge, and curiosity that make this specialty so unique.
She founded Tenacious Medical Education (Tenacious ME) to open these experiences to others who are eager to challenge themselves, discover their grit, and expand the boundaries of where—and how—learning can happen.
